Product Specification

MacCheckout is a standalone application and runs on any Apple Mackintosh computer running OSX 10.7 or later. Any current computer has enough memory, hard disk storage and supports the relevant graphics as MacCheckout does not require a lot of resources to run. A printer will be required to print the relevant Agreement Forms. These are issued at the point of checkout when the person takes the equipment away. Systems in place have the user sign a receipt at that point.

MacCheckout for the Web is the web based version of the application. This runs in any major browser on either Apple Mac or Window PC machines. The application runs using PHP and mySql on an Apache server. Any server can be used for this purpose. This results in a low cost approach as these are all open source systems. You actually purchase the scripts to the the application and are given a licence to be able to edit or change anything as the needs of your institution change and expand.

One final note
Both versions of are user driven. That is features can be requested and will be added to the program. The only restriction on this process is that the new features cannot adversely affect the current working of the program.
